Roughly 20 years after Joya de Nicaragua simultaneously reinvigorated its own brand—as well as helped to jump start the modern craze of high-octane smoking experiences through the introduction of the Antaño brand—the company is now set to showcase a Connecticut-wrapped expression, dubbed ‘Antaño CT.’
Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT maintains the spirit of the original blend, using primarily Nicaraguan tobaccos throughout the blend to offer smokers a fuller-bodied experience. Traditionally, such a blend would be thought to be counterintuitive, with Connecticut tobaccos being known for their silk-like, nuanced tendencies. In recent years, the style of amped-up Connecticuts has taken hold, allowing cigarmakers to showcase creamy profiles with higher flavor and body output. And with the original Antaño being known for its raw, fiery Nicaraguan character, the Antaño CT opts to showcase a new and exciting, yet familiar performance for enthusiasts.
JDN Antaño CT is set to debut at the 2019 IPCPR trade show, held later this month in Las Vegas. The cigars will arrive in four sizes, with prices set between $8 and $10 MSRP. According to Joya de Nicaragua, the cigars will then begin arriving at retailers nationwide in July.
