The International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) is set to converge in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the 86th annual trade show gathering on Friday, July 13th. The convention will be held from the 13th through the 17th, located at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the second year running.
For those unfamiliar, the IPCPR trade show is the annual gathering for cigar manufacturers and tobacconist retailers across the U.S. The event signals the single largest purchasing week for retailers, due to the significant markdowns from manufacturers. Because of this, manufacturers traditionally introduce the bulk of their latest products at the trade show; many manufacturers even offer exclusive cigars that are only available to retailers that attend the event.
But for cigar consumers (who are not allowed into the trade show, unfortunately), IPCPR can be boiled down to this: what’s new? Cigars, pipes, accessories… anything tobacco related (premium tobacco) for the next year, you’ll find out about it here.
In addition to the sales-centered platform, the show features daily speakers and other activities, beginning with the world premiere of Hand Rolled: A Film About Cigars on Friday, July 13th. And with nearly every major cigar manufacturer in the world in attendance, IPCPR week is known for its nightly activities. Since 2013, Cigar Dojo has partnered with Espinosa Premium Cigars to throw the Dojo Party (all Dojo members welcome), featuring cigar personalities from the entire La Zona family, as well as food, drinks, and giveaways for attendees.
