Drew Estate has announced the company’s first completely new product for IPCPR 2018 with Factory Smokes by Drew Estate.
While it has long been known that Drew Estate will not sell “seconds” from the company’s La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate factory, un-banded/bundled cigars have been showing up through online retailers over the past one-to-two years. Now, Drew Estate has formally introduced a product in this category, though not technically “seconds,” but instead being affordably-geared bundle cigars. The project is set to launch in four different blends, with three sharing the same four vitolas (Robusto, Churchill, Toro, Gordito), and the fourth blend swapping the Gordito size for a 6″ x 54 Belicoso.
The cigars are named Factory Smokes Maduro, Factory Smokes Shade, Factory Smokes Sun Grown, and Factory Smokes Sweet. Despite the similar naming structure as the company’s Undercrown collection, Factory Smokes are, indeed, not “seconds” from Undercrown cigars. Instead, each blend shares the unique attribute of an all-Indonesian filler/binder recipe. Factory Smokes are then finished in maduro, shade-grown (Connecticut seed), sun-grown Habano, and Habano (presumed sweetened) wrappers, respectively.
Skillfully manufactured at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate, alongside the same buncheros and rolleros who create premium cigars, Factory Smokes by Drew Estate are economically priced due to their bulk manufacturing and less expensive bundle packaging. A handmade value priced line of cigars perfect for sharing with your friends on a Monday, mowing the lawn, washing the car, you know, smoke it, enjoy it, toss it if you must, then grab another.
Pricing is set between $1.60 and $2.10 for the three traditional blends, packaged in bundles of 25 cigars. The sweetened cigars will be packaged in bundles of 20 and retail from $1.80 to $2.40.
Factory Smokes by Drew Estate will be on display at Drew Estate’s booth for IPCPR 2018 and will begin shipping to retailers in late July 2018.
