Cornelius & Anthony Announces First Limited Cigars

Cornelius & Anthony Premium Cigars has announced the company’s plans for 2018, unveiling two limited production cigars for IPCPR 2018—The Gent and Mistress.

The modern rendition of the Cornelius & Anthony brand—the company consumers are familiar with—debuted in 2016 with a lineup of four cigars. In 2017, two more blends were added to the lineup, but it wasn’t until now that the company has offered a project with limited availability. As a growing number of manufacturers begin to employ the tactic of offering cigars only to IPCPR-attending retailers, Cornelius has followed suit. Both The Gent and Mistress will be available exclusively at the trade show, reportedly to become an annual offering for trade show guests.

Like nearly all of Cornelius’ cigars, the two new blends have been rolled at Erik Espinosa’s La Zona factory in Estelí. The Gent uses an Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper, a US-grown binder, and Nicaraguan and Honduran filler tobaccos. The cigars are box-pressed and described as medium in strength, focusing on “depth of flavor” and “a legendary refinement.”

Mistress is a fuller-bodied offering, using an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, US-grown binder, and fillers from Pennsylvania.
