Taking to social media, Steve Saka revealed the third blend in Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust’s Muestra de Saka series this morning.
Dubbed “Unicorn,” the project examines the category of “ultra ultra premium” and whether exorbitant price points of $250+ that some manufacturers introduce could ever be warranted. As such, Saka has spared no expense, introducing “the ultimate ‘creaming’ of any tobacco,” by selecting only the best 1% of tobaccos from a grade-A crop of Broadleaf wrapper leaf. According to Saka, “It is arguably one of the finest Broadleaf cigars ever crafted.”
In addition, Saka hand-lathed the prototype molds for the 6¼” x 60 Diademas cigars himself. Saka has selected the best single pair to roll the full batch of roughly 1,000 cigars—of which he has not revealed the price point or quantity that will make it to market.
