UPDATE: This contest is now closed
Hundreds of entries this week proved the Dojo has an artistic side! This made the eventual picks quite tricky; however, we eventually whittled the entries down to our three favorites:
- James H. (Grand Prize Winner)
- Daniel R.
Launched at IPCPR 2016, Archetype garnered a new level of attention for Ventura Cigar Company, whom was previously best known for their Project 805 and PSyKo SEVEN cigar lines. For Archetype, a clean and modern, yet simultaneously artistic offering of five new blends was introduced—each focusing on the delicate nuances of a more refined palate. Not only this, but the cigars are produced at two of the world’s most respected cigar factories: with three blends coming from Davidoff-owned factories and two from Drew Estate’s La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate factory.
Contest Theme: Cigar Art
While humans have enjoyed photography for centuries, and cigars for centuries more, and mobile phones for decades, the three have only recently combined to introduce the growing art of cigar photography (aka #cigarPorn). There’s just something about the relaxed nature of cigar smoking, paired with the eye-catching nature of fire and smoke that makes for an addicting quest to showcase rolled tobacco in its most seductive form!
Therefore, we want to see you get artistic this week for a chance to win Archetype cigars. Download a few filter apps (Instagram, Snapseed, and Hipstamatic are a few good places to start) and let’s see some serious cigArt.
To enter the contest:
- Take an artistic cigar photo – photo filters encouranged
- Post your picture on the Cigar Dojo app
- Include hashtag #cigartist
