Update: This contest is now over

We had a blast searching for the winners of this contest, with too many great entries to count! In the end, we settled on our 3 favorites, including Adamk27 (and his rat pal), SeaWolf (showing off his classy top 5 with the Dojo Collector Card Set), and ChrisFlood with a hilarious spoof on the #fab5Cigars theme. If you pay close attention to the latest and greatest among boutique cigars, you’ve no doubt heard the name Crux Cigars make its way into conversation. But incase you haven’t heard the news, allow me to fill y’all in!

Brand creators Jeff Haugen and Joel Rogers have been hard at work on the line over the past few years, working away on their first releases when not occupied by the “day job”, running the famous Tobacco Grove in Maple Grove, MN.

Contest theme – Show your “Fab Five”

No, we’re not referring to the 1991 University of Michigan men’s basketball freshman recruiting class, or the English rock band Duran Duran, or even the United States women’s artistic gymnastics team… No, for this contest we want to see the 5 best cigars (in your opinion) that are currently in your humidor!

Delve into that humidor, coolidor, wineador, jaridor, or even car-li-dor… and rediscover what you may have long-forgotten (depending on the size of your humidor, or course). Show us what’s currently in your humidor and we may just add a few extra gems to the mix!

How to enter

Make a post on the Cigar Dojo app that shows the 5 best cigars currently in your humidor and make sure to include the hashtag #fab5Cigars.

Note: Contest entries should be new, i.e. created for this contest. Any mention of Cigar Dojo in your entry pictures is encouraged – i.e. Cigar Dojo cards, drawings, computer screens, etc…

Be creative! We love to see interesting cigar pictures, use a cool camera effect, angle, filters, lenses, and lighting! Anything to make your image stand out.

At Cigar Dojo, we are very thankful and appreciative of our members, and we want to pass on the appreciation in the form of free cigars! This week’s contest will run from Thursday, September 16th at 4PM (MDT) and will end Wednesday, September 17th at 7PM (MDT). The winners will be announced on Wednesday night or Thursday morning on the Cigar Dojo app.

There will be 3 different 1st prize winners this week, each will go home with a Crux Ninfamaniac cigar bundle 5-pack. There are 2 Ninfamaniac Dark bundles and 1 Ninfamaniac (natural) bundles available. For the cigar enthusiast, these boutique smokes are geared just for you! These double perfecto 7″ x 33 lanceros feature an Indonesian binder, Nicaraguan filler, and wrapper tobaccos of Habano Jalapa (natural) and Habano Sungrown Jalapa (Dark). We reviewed both varieties earlier this year and found them to be both complex and filled with flavor, rating the Ninfamaniac at 91 and the Ninfamaniac Dark at 88. Expect a profile of nuts, dried apricots, chocolate, and grilled meats on the natural. Expect a profile of toast, dark chocolate, cherries, molasses, and walnuts for the Ninfamaniac Dark.
