Ferio Tego is commemorating the 100th anniversary of jazz icon Miles Davis’ birth with a limited edition cigar created in partnership with the Miles Davis Estate and music company Reservoir. Called Ferio Tego Milestones, the release is part of the official Miles Davis Centennial celebration taking place throughout 2026.
The cigar takes its name from Davis’ 1958 album Milestones and its title track. According to the company, the name also reflects the tradition of celebrating important occasions with a premium cigar.
Produced at Agroindustrias in Honduras, Milestones is offered in a 6 x 50 toro format featuring an Ecuador-grown Connecticut seed wrapper over a Honduran binder and fillers from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.
Michael Herklots, co-owner and blender of Ferio Tego, said his background as a musician influenced the project.
“This cigar was created to reflect qualities I admire in Miles’ most enduring work; approachability, sophistication, structure, nuance, expression, restraint, and depth,” said Michael Herklots. “One does not need to be an expert to love Miles Davis, but experts have spent lifetimes studying his music. This cigar was created with that in mind. It is approachable and appealing, yet structured and nuanced. Easy for anyone to enjoy, with plenty of depth for the developed palate.”
Each 10-count box includes one of four different 5 x 7 reproductions of original Miles Davis sketches. Retailers will receive sets containing all four sketch editions, and each box also features a QR code linking to a playlist curated by Herklots, Reservoir, and the Miles Davis Estate to accompany the smoking experience.
Production is limited to 1,600 boxes with an MSRP of $185 per box. Ferio Tego says the cigars begin shipping to retailers this week through its U.S. distributor, Davidoff of Geneva USA.
The Miles Davis Estate also commented on the collaboration.
