A new cigar brand focused entirely on Colombian tobacco has officially launched.
Named La Colombiana, the project was announced on Colombia’s Independence Day and is centered around showcasing tobacco grown exclusively in Colombia. According to the announcement, the cigar is intended to celebrate the country’s tobacco-growing tradition while introducing Colombian tobacco to a broader audience.
The project was developed in collaboration with master blender Chico Rivas, who worked alongside the brand’s founder to bring the blend to market.
“Today, on Colombia’s Independence Day, I’m proud to introduce La Colombiana,” the announcement reads. “La Colombiana was born from a simple dream: to create a premium cigar that honors the country I love and showcases the richness of 100% Colombian tobacco.”
The statement describes the cigar as the result of a journey rooted in heritage, craftsmanship, and a commitment to quality.
“To bring that vision to life, I partnered with Master Blender Chico Rivas, whose experience, mentorship and dedication helped create a cigar that proudly showcases Colombian tobacco.”
The announcement concludes by describing the cigar as “more than a cigar,” calling it “a tribute to my roots,” “a celebration of our heritage,” and “a story I’m honored to share with the world.”
Beyond confirming that the cigar is made entirely with Colombian tobacco, additional details such as factory, vitolas, pricing, and availability have not yet been announced.
