Viso Horny has announced a new limited-edition release named Ligador Fantasma, a cigar intended to recognize the often-overlooked individuals involved in cigar production and blending.

According to the company, the project was inspired by the blenders, tobacco specialists, and factory workers who play a role in creating cigars but rarely receive public recognition. The name, which translates to “ghost blender,” references those contributors working behind the scenes throughout the cigar-making process.

Ligador Fantasma is being produced at Fábrica Oveja Negra in Nicaragua. The cigar is offered in a single 5 x 50 robusto format and features a barberpole wrapper combining Corojo and Candela leaves, a Habano binder, and an all-viso filler blend made from Nicaraguan and American-grown tobacco. The cigar is finished with what the company describes as a rabbito cap.

“Oveja Negra has long been one of my favorite factories in Nicaragua — not just for what comes out of it, but for the people behind it. Getting to know James and Angela, watching how they approach blending and what it actually takes to run a factory at that level, has been one of the genuine highlights of building this brand. This cigar is a direct reflection of that relationship and the respect I have for what they’ve built,” said Tyler Jeffery, founder of El Bebe Grande Cigar LLC / Viso Horny.

Production is limited to 500 bundles of 10 cigars. Pricing has not yet been announced, though the company says the cigar is expected to ship in late summer 2026.
