Macanudo is bringing back one of its more recognizable seasonal lines, with a small twist for 2026.
According to a company announcement, Macanudo Gold Label will return to retailers beginning in May, once again featuring its Connecticut Shade wrapper harvested from lower primings of the plant. The lower position on the stalk results in less sun exposure, which contributes to the blendโs typically mild and slightly sweet profile.
New to the lineup this year is a vitola called Gold Bullion, a 6โณ x 54 box-pressed format that marks a departure from the traditionally round sizes in the series. The blend itself remains consistent, using a Mexican binder and a mix of Mexican and Dominican fillers.
โGold Label is a release that continues to resonate with smokers year after year,โ said Matt Wilson, Senior Brand Manager for Macanudo. โWith Gold Bullion, weโre introducing a box-pressed vitola for Gold Label that slightly shifts the smoking experience, while preserving the smooth, approachable character that defines the blend.โ
The cigars are produced at General Cigar Dominicana in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and will be available for a limited time as part of the annual release.
