Plasencia Cigars says it will use PCA 2026 to debut TRIUNFAL, a new limited-edition cigar tied to the major international soccer tournament set to take place across Canada, the United States, and Mexico in 2026. Most readers probably know they are referring to the FIFA World Cup 2026 but Plasencia probably can’t say the official name for trademark purposes. The company is positioning the release around themes of unity, competition, and the shared spotlight that comes with one of the worldโs biggest sporting events.
TRIUNFAL is also notable for being the first release to carry Plasenciaโs updated brand identity, which the company announced this week ahead of the trade show. Packaging for the cigar includes stadium-inspired details, green striping meant to evoke a playing field, gold accents, and individually numbered boxes.
The cigar uses a Honduran wrapper from Jamastrรกn, a Honduran binder from Olancho, and fillers made up of organic tobaccos from Jalapa, Nicaragua and Jamastrรกn, Honduras. Production is handled at Plasenciaโs Tabacos de Oriente factory in Danlรญ, Honduras. According to the company, the blend is intended to offer notes of chocolate, cacao, and aged rum.
TRIUNFAL is being made in a single 6 1/4 x 54 gran toro vitola. Pricing is set at $59.99 per cigar or $599 per 10-count box, with production limited to 5,000 numbered boxes worldwide. More details are expected during PCA 2026 in New Orleans.
