Perdomo Cigars has announced a new limited project called Perdomo Legacy Father & Son, a collaboration between company president Nick Perdomo and fourth-generation cigar maker Nicholas Perdomo III.
The release builds on the existing Perdomo Legacy brand while highlighting the blending styles of both father and son. At the center of the project is Nicaraguan Shade Grown tobacco, a varietal developed by Nick Perdomo. According to the company, this marks the first time a blend centered around that tobacco has appeared within the Legacy line.
Nicholas Perdomo III explained the importance of including the tobacco his father developed.
โIt was incredibly important to me that my dad shares his Nicaraguan Shade Grown blend as part of this project. He was the visionary who created this special tobacco and having it as the foundation of Perdomo Legacy Father & Son makes this collaboration truly meaningful. Being able to build upon something he createdโand that represents so much of our familyโs innovationโis an honor.โ
The project includes three blends: a Nicaraguan Shade Grown version developed by Nick Perdomo, a Maduro blend created by Nicholas Perdomo III, and an Ecuadorian Connecticut blend produced jointly by the two. All three incorporate Nicaraguan Shade Grown tobacco in different roles within the blend.
Nick Perdomo said the project gave him the chance to work closely with the next generation of the family business.
โWorking together with my son on these incredible and unique blends has been a truly rewarding experience. Perdomo Legacy Father & Son reflects our shared passion for tobacco, our respect for our customers, and our commitment to quality. Seeing the next generation bring their vision to life makes the future of Perdomo Cigars extremely exciting.โ
According to the company, the cigars use tobaccos aged between 10 and 15 years, harvested from Perdomo farms in Condega, Jalapa, and Estelรญ between 2011 and 2016.
Perdomo Legacy Father & Son will be produced in a box-pressed Gran Figurado measuring 6 x 48 x 60 x 52 and offered in 50-count chests. Pricing is set at $15 per cigar. The company plans to begin taking retailer orders at the PCA Trade Show, with a national release currently expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Perdomo also plans to debut the cigars in limited quantities during Perdomo Legacy anniversary events at Two Guys Cigars from May 20โ23.
