Crowned Heads has announced the release of Blood Medicine B-Positive LE 2025, the latest extension of its Blood Medicine line.
The Blood Medicine brand began in 2022 as an event-only cigar before evolving into a one-size limited edition in 2024, followed by a three-vitola limited release earlier this year. The new B-Positive keeps the same core blend as the original Blood Medicine but introduces a Corojo wrapper.
โThe B-Positive concept was something I began working on with the factory last year,โ said Crowned Heads President Jon Huber. โI was looking for a darker, meatier expression of the Blood Medicine blend and experimented with several wrappers including Broadleaf (Connecticut) and a San Andrรฉs (Mexico) varietal, as well. Nothing really hit me until we started working with this Corojo wrapper, and once we did, it became clear that it took the blend to an entirely new dimension in flavor and intensity.โ
The Blood Medicine name originates from a historic three-story building on the corner of Broadway and 4th Avenue in downtown Nashville. Built in 1872 as a pharmacy and later converted into a hotel, the building now houses Merchants Restaurant, where remnants of the painted words โBlood Medicineโ can still be seen on the exposed brick walls.
The Blood Medicine B-Positive LE 2025 is a 6″ x 52 Toro, featuring an Ecuadorian binder, Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, and a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper. Production is limited to 2,400 boxes of 12 cigars, with each cigar priced at $12.95. Manufacturing takes place at the DโHatuey factory in Estelรญ, Nicaragua, which also produces other Crowned Heads lines such as Mil Dรญas, Mil Dรญas Maduro, and Juรกrez.
