Drew Estate has announced a new cigar under the fan-favorite Único Serie for the Liga Privada brand: Porchetta.
Similar to former Único Serie cigars such as Pork Beli and Pancetta, the Liga Privada Único Serie Porchetta is named after a pork dish, with porchetta being “[a] traditional Italian roasted pork dish, known for its rich layers and savory seasonings.”
Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate, expressing his excitement about the new global offices of Drew Estate, proclaims, “Porchetta is a meaty, in-your-face, turbulent journey of flavor and aroma. It’s hard-hitting, yet smooth and meat-lovin-calculated at the very same time … kinda like a Larry Holmes jab to the dome … it’s not meant to knock you out. But damn, that was the thing about Holmes in his heyday … he could literally knock you out with a couple of jabs. Nobody should get knocked out with a jab, really. This Porchetta is like a miniature Larry Holmes. My dad was a huge Larry Holmes fan, for the record.”
The Liga Privada Único Serie Porchetta is slated to be an exclusive offering for the growing number of Casa de Montecristo brick-and-mortar lounges throughout the US. Rolled in a box-pressed 6″ x 46 belicoso format, Porchetta makes use of a stalk-cut Connecticut Habano wrapper that has undergone a three-year fermentation process. This leaf surrounds a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras.
Elegantly presented in a 6 x 46 Box Pressed Belicoso size, this cigar is a feast for the senses, much like its namesake dish. The savory essence of the Porchetta, with its layered flavors, is mirrored in the cigar’s robust palate, offering enthusiasts an intricate, depth-driven smoking experience.
Though a specific launch was not mentioned in a press release from Drew Estate, the company is advising consumers to use Casa de Montecristo’s Casa Rewards page to find out when the cigars will be made available. The cigars will be offered in 20-count boxes, with pricing set at $19.25 per cigar MSRP.
