There’s a newcomer in the premium cigar spaceโ€”El Mago Cigarsโ€”launched by Nick Fusco as a tribute to his grandparents and their untimely passing in 2021.

Gonzalo and Maria Torre were among the 98 victims claimed during the suddenย collapse of Surfsideโ€™s Champlain Towers condominium last June. Two months after the disaster, Nick made the decision to honor his grandparents’ legacy with El Mago Cigars, making himโ€”according to the companyโ€”the “youngest cigar owner” in the industry.

El Mago’s cigars are rolled in Estelรญ, Nicaragua, with a current total of five cigars designed to keep Nick’sย grandparentsโ€™ memoryย in mind. This is evidenced through their vibrant coloring, naming (such as ‘Pepe,’ how he referred to his grandfather), and a Cuban-seed blending style.

There are five cigars currently available, with flavor profiles ranging from mild to full:

  • Miami Art Deco
    • Ecuadorian Habano wrapper | Mild-Medium | $12
  • Pepe
    • San Andrรฉs wrapper | Medium-Strong | $15
  • Triunfante
    • Connecticut wrapper | Mild | $13
  • Mรญstico
    • Two-Tone San Andrรฉs wrapper | Medium | $12
  • Intuiciรณn
    • Cuban-seed Maduro wrapper | Strong | $12

Currently, El Mago Cigars are available through 25 retailers throughout Miami, as well as through the company’s own online storefront: elmagocigars.com.
