Drew Estate has begun shipping the Nica Rustica Adobe cigars to retailers nationwide. The cigars were first announced during one of the company’s Freestyle Live events this May, marking the first-ever sister blend to the original Nica Rustica Broadleaf.
Like its predecessor, the Adobe is described as “rustic” and “unrefined,” with Drew Estate noting “[the] Adobe brings to life the soul of the lively and romantic barrios and colorful colonial houses of Estelí, Nicaragua.”
Nica Rustica Adobe is rolled in three sizes, with budget-friendly prices ranging from $5.20 to $6.48 per cigar. The blend uses a Habano wrapper over a Brazilian binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from Estelí and Jalapa.
“Nica Rustica Adobe presents a daring adventure into the authentically rugged and rustic countryside surrounding Estelí,” says Drew Estate Founder and President, Jonathan Drew. “The spicy and bold Habano, we call ‘Adobe’ offers smokers a glimpse into the distinguished beauty and bold character of Estelí and her people. You don’t need a passport to experience Estelí … just spark up this six-buck-chuck and you are magically transported to our proud Nicaraguan home.”
The cigars feature custom artwork from Drew Estate’s Subculture Studios, offering a teal-themed spin on last year’s branding refresh for Nica Rustica. This includes Estelí’s official symbol—El Brujito—which is a 6,000-year-old petroglyph of a native shaman that was discovered on a rock atop a mountain near the city.
