Pier 28 Premium Cigars has quietly been gaining steam among die-hard cigar enthusiasts, carefully adding to its core lineup by releasing a singular new offering in annual succession. The brand is owned by Tim Wong, a veteran sales representative in the premium cigar industry. Wong has worked closely with Erik Espinosa’s boutique La Zona factory in EstelÃ, with each of his cigars being highlighted by highly specific wrapper components and vitolas geared toward the connoisseur. At the 2019 IPCPR trade show, Wong introduced the fourth cigar in the Pier 28 collection: Pier 28 Connecticut. This cigar follows closely on the heels of the Pier 28 Oscuro, which was awarded Cigar Dojo’s 2018 Under-the-Radar Cigar of the Year.
