With the annual ProCigar Festival scheduled to begin next week (Feb. 17–22) in the Dominican Republic, Quesada Cigars has announced the release of a new brand—Quesada 1974.
As with many of the company’s offerings, Quesada 1974 commemorates a special year/anniversary in the Quesada family’s history. It was 1974 that the family transitioned from tobacco brokerage to manufacturing, as consumers know them today. The new cigar is intended to honor the family’s past, while showcasing a modernized take that displays the Quesadas innovative spirit moving forward.
Quesada 1974 features an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers of Nicaragua and the DR. This new blend will debut in four sizes, with prices ranging from $6.20 to $7.50. While the cigars are shipping only to the Spanish market at launch, Quesada has indicated that a US launch is to follow this summer.
Debuting at ProCigar 2019, Quesada 1974 will be displayed in special-edition boxes during the festival.
