Originally debuting in 1968, Joya de Nicaragua has announced the return of their “best selling cigar” to the U.S. market. The brand is Joya de Nicaragua Clásico, a mild cigar that claims the status of “the first Nicaraguan cigar ever.”
In late 2017, Joya de Nicaragua (JDN) began preparing for the company’s 50th anniversary year, announcing a revamped look for the Clásico. Still, the cigars were only available outside the U.S. and for visitors of the JDN factory in Estelí. Now, through a partnership with retailers Casa de Montecristo and JR Cigars, Clásico will become available to U.S. consumers once more.
Joya de Nicaragua Clásico is now available in six sizes through JR Cigars’ online store, with prices ranging from $5.50 to $9.50 (MSRP).
