Tatuaje is bringing back Boris Karloff for another limited run. The 2026 edition of the Tatuaje Boris Karloff comes in a new 6 1/4 x 47 vitola, finished in an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, and is shipping to select retailers starting this week.

The cigar is based on the Karloff blend from 2020. Tatuaje changes the vitola each time this limited release is produced, a nod to Karloff’s career as a shape shifter. “As an actor, Boris Karloff had a career spanning 50 years and many characters, not just his roles as Frankenstein and The Mummy,” the company said. “Since he was a constant shape shifter, adapting to every role as a consummate actor, it always made sense to change the vitola each time this Limited Release was produced.”

The 2026 run is limited to 2,000 boxes of 20 cigars, with a suggested retail price of $15 per cigar. Production took place at My Father Cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua. Tatuaje says the cigars will reach shops with plenty of time to commemorate Karloff’s birthday on November 23.

The Boris Karloff name and likeness are licensed by Karloff Enterprises and Sara Karloff.
