La Casa Grande Cigars is heading from the Bronx to the Las Vegas Strip with a new cigar line built around a deli owner, his catchphrase and a stack of sandwich paper.
Called the Giovanni Paolo “How You Doin!” Cigar, the collaboration pairs La Casa Grande creator Paul DiSilvio with Giovanni Paolo DiFuccia, who owns Giovanni’s Italian Deli in the Bronx. The two grew up together around Arthur Avenue, the stretch of the Bronx known as the borough’s Little Italy, and the line leans hard into that Italian-American deli culture.
There are three sizes, each named with the same sense of humor: How You Doin! is a 6 x 57 toro, Mozzarella is a 5 x 60 robusto, and Sangwheech is a 6 x 60 torpedo. All three are Dominican puros using a San Andrés Maduro wrapper (as listed in the release), a Dominican binder, and fillers that include Dominican-grown Criollo 98 and Corojo.
The packaging is where things get unusual. Each cigar is individually wrapped in sandwich-style tissue paper, and every bundle gets its own sandwich-paper wrap, as shown in the photo below. According to La Casa Grande, Giovanni will personally help wrap the cigars.
The line premieres Wednesday, October 21 at 5 p.m. at Eight Lounge inside Resorts World Las Vegas. The event has no cover charge and is open to guests 21 and older. Eight Lounge is billing it as a limited-edition debut, and Giovanni is set to serve his mozzarella, with a live mozzarella-making demonstration planned. La Casa Grande also ran a contest in which the first-prize winner gets flown to Las Vegas to cut and light the first cigar.
La Casa Grande is a Bronx-based company making hand-rolled cigars, and it also supplies cigar rollers for weddings and events. Collaborations have become a regular part of its catalog, including a limited edition A Bronx Tale cigar in 2023, Prodigal Son with actor Martin Kove in 2025, and a Smoke Inn exclusive earlier in 2026.
The first production run is limited to 3,000 bundles, sold through LCGCigars.com. Pricing has not been announced.
