La Aurora is expanding its Cazadores portfolio with Cazadores Flavors, a new flavored offshoot that will launch with three blends: Brown, Blond and Caribbean.
Rather than using a single base blend for all three cigars, La Aurora has paired each flavor with one of the existing Cazadores blends. Brown uses the Cazadores Maduro as its foundation, Blond is based on Cazadores Claro, and Caribbean starts with Cazadores Nicaragua.
The original Cazadores line debuted in 2018 as an affordably priced series of handmade, long-filler cigars. The new flavored versions will carry the same pricing as their non-flavored counterparts.
“Cazadores has always lived in that sweet spot between everyday and exceptional — great value, but never at the expense of quality,” says Ed McKenna, CEO, La Aurora USA. “With Cazadores Flavors, we’re opening the door a little wider. This is a natural next step for smokers who’ve enjoyed the core Cazadores blends and are ready to try something new, and it’s an easy entry point for any cigar smokers who are just discovering what Cazadores is all about.”
Cazadores Brown uses an Indonesian Maduro wrapper over an Indonesian binder and Dominican fillers from the Cibao Valley. La Aurora describes the added flavoring as cocoa and toasted cognac.
Cazadores Blond uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and adds vanilla and cream flavors to the Cazadores Claro blend.
Finally, Cazadores Caribbean is based on Cazadores Nicaragua, using a Nicaraguan wrapper, Indonesian binder, and Dominican fillers from the Cibao Valley. This version adds rum and tropical spice flavors.
“We built each flavor around the wrapper it’s paired with, not the other way around,” says John Ferrigan, National Sales Director, La Aurora USA. “Cazadores Brown leans into everything a Maduro wrapper already does well, Cazadores Blond plays off the mellow sweetness of the Claro, and Cazadores Caribbean brings out the spice already found in the Nicaragua leaf. Nothing about these cigars feels bolted on — they taste like an extension of the blends smokers already know.”
All three versions will be offered in Robusto (5″ x 50) and Toro (5¾” x 54) sizes. The Robusto is priced at $6.00 per cigar, or $120 for a box of 20, while the Toro is $6.25 per cigar, or $125 per box.
Unlike the standard Cazadores portfolio, the flavored series will not initially include the 6″ x 60 Gordo.
La Aurora expects Cazadores Flavors to begin shipping to retailers in September 2026.
