Fermin Perez Cigars has announced a pair of changes to its production and distribution, moving cigar manufacturing to Tabacalera Familia Disla S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, while turning to Domain Distribution for U.S. wholesale operations.
The Miami-based company was founded by Fermin Pérez Jr. in 2021 and currently offers seven cigar lines: Bold, Classic, Esmeralda, Royal, Miami, Puro Estelí, and Serie de Oro.
Under the new arrangement, production will take place at Tabacalera Familia Disla, a Nicaraguan factory headed by Esteban Disla and Daniel Lance. The factory also produces Domain Cigars and works with other independent cigar companies.
Pérez will remain involved with tobacco selection, blending, and final approval of Fermin Perez Cigars.
“For me, the cigar always comes first,” said Pérez. “Familia Disla gives us a strong home for production, while Domain Distribution gives our retail partners a simpler way to order, restock and keep Fermin Perez Cigars on their shelves.”
On the distribution side, retailers will now order Fermin Perez Cigars through Domain Distribution’s online wholesale platform. Orders will be fulfilled from Kansas City, Kansas, with Domain handling sales and retailer support for accounts throughout the U.S.
The changes are part of Fermin Perez Cigars’ efforts to expand its retail presence nationally while consolidating production and wholesale distribution.
