Fermin Perez Cigars has announced Puro Estelí, a new regular-production cigar made entirely with tobacco grown in Estelí, Nicaragua.
The cigar marks the first new addition to the Fermin Perez portfolio produced through the company’s collaboration with Tabacalera Familia Disla in Estelí. Founder Fermin Pérez is handling tobacco selection and blend development for the project.
As the name suggests, Puro Estelí keeps things focused on a single Nicaraguan growing region. The cigar uses an Estelí-grown Sun Grown Habano wrapper over an Estelí binder and Estelí fillers.
Puro Estelí is being introduced in a 5½” x 42 corona. According to the company, the blend offers flavors of earth, spice, cedar, leather, and coffee, along with cream, cocoa, and nuts.
The cigar joins the Fermin Perez lineup as a regular-production release and will be packaged in 20-count wooden boxes. Retailers can order Puro Estelí through Domain Distribution.
