Ferdinand Piet has departed LOFB Cigars after more than two years with the company, where he served as Head of Europe, Asia & the Middle East.
Piet joined LOFB in August 2024 and worked on expanding the brand’s distribution across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Oceania, and Asia.
“It has been an interesting two years, and we made significant progress in bringing LOFB into new markets,” Piet said. “We secured distribution across a large part of the international market, and I am proud of what we achieved together.”
Following his departure, Piet will focus primarily on The Straits Cigar Company, a Singapore-based cigar importer and distributor he operates with two partners. The company is also preparing to open a retail operation.
Piet also plans to independently represent a limited number of cigar brands looking to expand into Asian markets. Additionally, he is exploring the formation of an Asia-Pacific Cigar Alliance that could allow distributors in smaller markets to cooperate on purchasing and logistical requirements.
The proposed alliance remains in the exploratory stages.
