Caldwell Cigar Co. is preparing to release Mooncake, a limited seasonal cigar based on the company’s Yellow Cake blend.
Mooncake takes the Yellow Cake concept in a different direction, pairing the blend with a Connecticut wrapper. Caldwell describes the cigar as retaining the core characteristics of Yellow Cake while adding the smoother and sweeter qualities associated with the new wrapper.
The company has not disclosed the binder or filler tobaccos used for Mooncake.
Caldwell Mooncake is offered in a single 5″ x 50 robusto format, with production limited to 2,400 five-packs. The cigar is scheduled to go on sale Wednesday, September 16 at 6:00 p.m. ET.
