Emilio Cigars has begun shipping Suave Sumatra, a limited-edition variation of the brand’s Suave line produced at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelรญ, Nicaragua.
For the release, Fabrica Oveja Negra owner and BLTC founder James Brown developed a blend that replaces the traditional Suave wrapper with Sumatra tobacco. Underneath, the cigar uses an Ecuadorian Habano binder and Nicaraguan fillers.
โSuave has been the cigar line that really put Emilio on the map. It’s not only a great introduction to the brand but also a great introduction to smoking cigars in general. Featuring a Sumatra wrapper highlights the balance of spice, flavor, and complexity. The finish is long with the signature subtle sweetness Suave is known for,” said Brown.
Suave Sumatra is being offered in two sizes, with both packaged in boxes of 20 cigars. The Robusto measures 5″ x 50 and carries an MSRP of $10.00 per cigar, while the Toro measures 6″ x 50 and is priced at $10.50.
