El Mago Cigars has announced a new limited edition release called The Offender & The Defender, a two-cigar project that will only be sold as a paired set.

Rather than offering the cigars individually, each release includes one box of The Offender and one box of The Defender, with each blend designed to complement the other. According to the company, the concept is based on the pairing of a sword and shield.

The Offender uses a Sumatra wrapper over a Criollo binder and Nicaraguan fillers, while The Defender features a Cameroon wrapper with the same Criollo binder and Nicaraguan filler blend. Both cigars are produced at the MGE (Mighty God Enterprise) Cigars Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Each cigar is offered in a single 6½ x 52 toro vitola and packaged in 20-count boxes. El Mago says all tobacco used in both blends has been aged for more than five and a half years.

Production is limited to 250 boxes of each blend worldwide, resulting in 250 complete pairings. The company says the cigars will not be produced again after this release.

Distribution will be limited to El Mago’s invitation-only S-Tier retail program, with shipments scheduled to begin arriving at participating retailers this month.
