Artesano Del Tobacco is expanding its Viva La Vida Connecticut lineup with the addition of a Churchill vitola, with shipments scheduled to begin July 2 for retailers that placed pre-orders during the 2026 PCA Trade Show.
The new size measures 7 x 54 and joins the existing Viva La Vida Connecticut portfolio. According to the company, the Churchill was developed after receiving requests from retailers and consumers for a larger format.
The cigar is produced at AJ Fernandez Cigars in Estelรญ, Nicaragua, using the same blend found throughout the Connecticut line. It features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers.
“Our clients have always played an important role in helping shape our brands,” said Billy Fakih, Gus Fakih, and Ivan of Artesano Del Tobacco. “We can’t wait for everyone to experience this new Churchill. It took a little longer to bring it to market because we wanted to give the tobacco all the time it needed to develop the flavor profile we envisioned. Working alongside our good friend AJ Fernandez in Estelรญ, Nicaragua, we created a Churchill that is exceptionally creamy, smooth, naturally sweet, and beautifully balanced. This blend performs incredibly well in this vitola, and we are extremely grateful to everyone who shared their feedback and encouraged us to add this size to the line.”
The company describes the blend as offering notes of sweet graham cracker, roasted almonds, cream, light espresso, and baking spices with a naturally sweet finish.
The Viva La Vida Connecticut Churchill will be packaged in 10-count boxes and carries an MSRP of $16 per cigar.
