Powstanie Cigars is revisiting one of its recent releases with the announcement of the 250th American Anniversary War Bear, a limited-edition cigar packaged to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Rather than introducing a new blend, the company has chosen to use the same recipe featured in the 2025 War Bear release. The cigar is a 5 5/8″ x 60 perfecto wrapped in Ecuadorian Habano and Mexican San Andrรฉs barber pole leaves over an Indonesian binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Production is handled by Fรกbrica de Tabacos Nica Sueรฑo S.A. in Nicaragua.
The primary difference comes in the presentation. Each box is housed in a commemorative metal shell finished with a natural Cerakote coating, with the company noting that the pattern will vary from box to box. The original War Bear band remains unchanged.
According to Powstanie, production has been limited to 250 boxes, with each box containing eight cigars for a total run of 2,000 cigars.
“We wanted to commemorate this once-in-a-generation anniversary while preserving everything people loved about the original War Bear,” said Mike Palmer, National Sales Manager for Powstanie Cigars. “The commemorative packaging transforms it into a collector’s piece worthy of this historic occasion while honoring the legacy of the War Bear.”
The 250th American Anniversary War Bear is scheduled to carry an MSRP of $250 per box.
