Kristoff Cigars is adding a milder twist to one of its best-known blends.

During the June 12 episode of Smoke Night LIVE, Glen Case, owner of Kristoff Cigars, revealed the upcoming Mildly Pistoff Kristoff, a new Connecticut-wrapped version of the companyโ€™s Pistoff Kristoff cigar. Case said the cigar had gone into production earlier that week while he was visiting the factory in the Dominican Republic.

The original Pistoff Kristoff uses a natural Mexican San Andrรฉs wrapper over an Indonesian binder, with Nicaraguan tobacco in the filler. According to Case, Mildly Pistoff uses the same binder and filler as the original, but swaps the wrapper for Ecuadorian Connecticut.

โ€œItโ€™s a Connecticut cigar with an attitude,โ€ Case said, describing the cigar as smooth, creamy, and savory, while still carrying more presence than a typical Connecticut-wrapped blend.

Mildly Pistoff Kristoff will first be offered as a pre-release for Tobacconistsโ€™ Association of America (TAA) retailers. Case said Kristoff has been a member of the TAA for 16 or 17 years, and the pre-release will be available only to the groupโ€™s member retailers. A full launch is planned for the 2027 PCA trade show in March, where the cigar is expected to become a regular-production release.

Case said the cigar is part of Kristoffโ€™s next phase following a two-year rebranding process that updated the companyโ€™s packaging, moving away from the rough-cut cedar boxes and loose tobacco presentation toward a more polished look with updated bands and boxes.

Kristoff Cigars was founded by Case in 2004 and is produced in Santiago, Dominican Republic, at the Tabacalera Von Eicken S.R.L. factory, formerly known as the Charles Fairmorn factory.
