Following its introduction at the 2026 PCA Trade Show, El Mago Cigars has begun shipping The James Avenue, a new addition to the company’s regular production lineup.
The James Avenue is offered in four blends, each produced in a 6″ x 54 box-pressed toro format. Smokers can choose from Connecticut, Habano, Maduro, and Sumatra versions, with each blend featuring Nicaraguan filler tobacco. The Connecticut and Habano use Nicaraguan binders, while the Maduro and Sumatra rely on Ecuadorian binders.
Production takes place at the MGE Cigars Factory in Estelรญ, Nicaragua. The cigars are packaged in 20-count cabinet-style boxes and carry a suggested retail price of $11 per cigar.
The new line takes its name from James Avenue in Miami Beach, the location of The James Hotel, which was purchased by the grandfather of El Mago owner Nick Fusco in 1989. The release continues the company’s connection to family history, as the El Mago brand was originally created as a tribute to Fusco’s grandparents, Maria and Gonzalo Torre.
The James Avenue lineup includes:
- Connecticut: Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, Nicaraguan fillers
- Habano: Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, Nicaraguan fillers
- Maduro: Mexican San Andrรฉs wrapper, Ecuadorian binder, Nicaraguan fillers
- Sumatra: Sumatra wrapper, Ecuadorian binder, Nicaraguan fillers
According to the company, the cigars are now shipping to El Mago retailers.
