Plasencia Cigars is rolling out updated packaging across its portfolio, with the new look set to debut at the 2026 PCA Convention & Trade Show in New Orleans.

The change represents the first full implementation of the companyโ€™s updated brand identity, including a new logo. According to Plasencia, the shift comes after nearly a decade with the same packaging, aligning the presentation more closely with how the company views its heritage and production.

While the cigars themselves remain unchanged, the boxes and branding elements have been redesigned with a more unified approach. One of the key additions is what the company calls the โ€œVistaโ€ design, which uses the inside lid of the box to highlight brand messaging and background. The Alma Collection will now feature visuals tied to each blendโ€™s origin, while Reserva Original incorporates sunflower imagery tied to its organic farming process.

โ€œOur family has always believed that what we grow and what we pass down matters,โ€ said Nรฉstor Andrรฉs Plasencia. โ€œThis evolution allows us to express more clearly who we are today, rooted in nature, guided by experience, and committed to creating the best cigar for the world.โ€

Plasencia says the updated packaging also focuses on material efficiency, with box sizes adjusted by vitola to reduce excess wood and improve shelf use. As part of the transition, Reserva Original will move from 10-count to 14-count boxes and receive a new UPC, while Alma Collection products will keep their existing UPCs.

The rollout is expected to begin gradually in fall 2026, with both old and new packaging appearing in the market during the transition period. The Cosecha line will remain unchanged for now, with a review planned for 2027.
