Two long-running events in the premium tobacco industry will take place in a new state in 2026, as Smoker Friendly moves both the Smoker Friendly Conference and Tobacco Festival (SFCTF) and the Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival (RMCF) to Cheyenne, Wyoming.

The events have historically been held in Colorado, making this the first time either gathering will be hosted outside the state. The 2026 schedule will see the SFCTF take place July 30โ€“31, followed by the Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival on August 1 at the Little America Hotel & Resort in Cheyenne.

The move comes as both events reach milestone anniversaries, with the SFCTF marking 30 years and the RMCF entering its 17th year. According to organizers, the relocation is tied to long-term planning, with Wyomingโ€™s business-friendly and tobacco-friendly environment playing a central role in the decision.

The SFCTF remains focused on the retail side of the industry, bringing together members of Smoker Friendlyโ€™s authorized dealer network, which spans approximately 700 stores nationwide. The event includes seminars, networking, and a trade show component.

The Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival will once again cater to consumers, drawing roughly 2,500 attendees. The event features cigars alongside food, beer, wine, spirits, and entertainment from more than 100 vendors.

โ€œThe move to Wyoming is very exciting! Weโ€™ve had stores in the Cowboy State for decades and we are extremely appreciative of how welcoming everyone in Cheyenne has been in this big decision,โ€ said CEO Terry Gallagher Jr.

Additional details surrounding the move are expected to be discussed on Smoke Night LIVE on Friday, March 27. Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival director Thomas Bliss will join the show to provide more insight into the decision. The show begins at 9 p.m. Eastern and will stream live on YouTube, Facebook, and X.
