Lure Cigars is bringing back its limited release cigar known as The Jolly Walleye, with shipments scheduled to begin the week of March 9, 2026. The cigar follows an earlier version of the blend and returns with a few changes to the profile and presentation.

The cigar is rolled at La Tabacaria in Estelí, Nicaragua, with blending led by Yandy Lopez and his team. According to the company, the 2026 version incorporates an Ecuadorian Claro Habano wrapper, paired with an Ometepe binder and Nicaraguan fillers from Ometepe, Jalapa, and Estelí.

Company founder Lou Cross says the project also has a personal connection.

“The name is a nod to my Dad’s favorite fish to enjoy at a Friday night fish fry, and it seemed fitting since this cigar has become one of our favorite blends in our portfolio.”

The Jolly Walleye is produced in a 5½ x 52 robusto extra format. Production is limited to 3,000 cigars, with an MSRP of $15 per cigar. The cigars will be packaged in bundles of 10 that include Boveda humidification packs.

Distribution will take place through Valacari, with the release arriving at retailers beginning in early March.
