El Rey del Mundo is expanding its King of the World series with a new limited release set to arrive in April 2026.

The cigar, dubbed King of the World VSOP, was originally rolled in 2021 and has spent the past several years aging before being readied for release. The project follows up on the King of the World cigar that debuted in 2024, continuing what appears to be a limited-run extension of the line.

The blend features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan Habano binder, with fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Production took place at STG Estelรญ in Nicaragua, with the cigar offered in a single 6 x 52 toro format. The profile is described as medium to full-bodied.

Only 2,000 boxes have been produced, each containing 16 cigars. Pricing is set at $10.99 per cigar, with shipments expected to begin in April.

โ€œFans, for many decades, have always relied on El Rey del Mundo for its exceptional cigars at an exceptional price. King of the World VSOP stays true to this statement and delivers one of the best cigars that weโ€™ve made in a long time. This cigar really punches above its weight, giving cigar smokers across the country a chance to experience the elegance of El Rey del Mundo at a price thatโ€™s hard to say no to,โ€ said Ed Lahmann, Senior Brand Manager for El Rey del Mundo.
