Hiram & Solomon Cigars has announced that production of its Ashlar cigar has resumed after a pause that followed the passing of the cigarโ€™s original roller.

The Ashlar was created to commemorate the companyโ€™s 10th anniversary and first debuted during the 2025 PCA Trade Show in New Orleans. The project was intended as a reflection on the companyโ€™s first decade and the principles that have shaped the brand.

Production was halted shortly after the cigarโ€™s introduction when the master torcedor responsible for rolling the blend passed away. According to the company, the cigar had been produced exclusively by that individual, which led Hiram & Solomon to stop production rather than alter the construction.

In the months that followed, the company trained a new torcedor under close supervision in order to replicate the cigarโ€™s construction, including the handling of its wrapper and overall build.

โ€œWith production now complete, Ashlar will begin shipping in priority sequence to partners who supported the release early on.โ€

The company says the cigars will now begin shipping to retail partners that had previously committed to the project.
