Casa Carrillo has announced a new limited release for 2026, introducing the Deep Blue Limited Edition. The cigar is produced at the companyโs factory in the Dominican Republic and will be offered in a single 6 x 56 vitola.
According to the company, the blend uses a Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper over a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Casa Carrillo says the cigar begins with a sweeter introduction before moving toward earthier flavors and a gradual increase in strength.
The name Deep Blue draws inspiration from the ocean as well as Hades from Greek mythology, reflecting the idea of depth that becomes more apparent over time.
โDeep Blue was blended as a journey,โ said Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. โThe wrapper speaks first. The binder stabilizes. The fillers carry you deeper. Itโs a cigar about discovering what lies beneath.โ
Production is limited to 2,500 numbered boxes, with each box containing 20 cigars. The cigars are expected to carry a suggested retail price of $22 per cigar.
Casa Carrillo plans to debut the cigar at the Great Smoke 20th Anniversary event hosted by Smoke Inn on March 14, 2026, in West Palm Beach. A wider release to select retailers is expected in May.
