The Premium Cigar Association has announced a new partnership agreement with Honduras’ Festival del Puro y el Café, marking an expansion of the association’s international collaboration efforts for 2026.
The Festival del Puro y el Café is held annually in Danlí, located in the El Paraíso region of Honduras, an area widely recognized for its role in the country’s tobacco production. Launched in 2021, the festival highlights Honduran premium cigars and specialty coffee, while bringing together manufacturers, retailers, and consumers from across the industry.
According to the announcement, the partnership is intended to increase engagement and shared programming between PCA members, Honduran festival organizers, retailers, and cigar enthusiasts. As part of the agreement, the PCA will assist with festival branding and registration awareness among its membership, while the festival will provide registration access for PCA staff to attend the event.
“This partnership is a proud recognition of Honduras’ place in the global premium cigar landscape,” said Héctor Valladares, Organizer of the Festival del Puro y el Café. “Our mission has always been to showcase the excellence of Honduran tobacco, coffee, and culture to the world. Working alongside the PCA allows us to open new doors for retailers, producers, and enthusiasts, while honoring the tradition that makes this industry so extraordinary.”
PCA participation is also expected to further strengthen relationships with Honduran manufacturers and several of the association’s existing industry partners.
“Honduras represents one of the most dynamic stories in premium cigars today,” said Joshua Habursky, CEO of the Premium Cigar Association. “The association is proud to expand our international partnership to include Honduras after years of collaboration with the festivals in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. As the world’s largest premium cigar retail marketplace, it is important that we support the producing countries and their respective festivals.”
The agreement reflects a broader effort by both organizations to support producing countries, retailers, and the continued growth of premium cigar culture on a global scale.
