Punch Cigars is bringing back one of its more unconventional limited releases with the announcement of Egg Roll XL, a larger-format follow-up to the original Punch Egg Roll cigar introduced in 2019. The new release is timed to coincide with Chinese New Year and maintains the same blend as the original, while increasing the size to a 6×60 Gigante.
Egg Roll XL is blended with a USA Broadleaf wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, with fillers from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and the United States. As with the original release, the cigar features a shaggy foot. The project continues Punch’s occasional use of Chinese-American cuisine themes, following earlier limited releases such as Chop Suey, King Pow!, and Spring Roll.
According to Punch brand manager Scott Abney, “Fans haven’t been shy about telling us how much they loved the first Punch Egg Roll. So it only made sense to bring it back in a bigger size! Egg Roll XL has everything you remember and enjoyed about the original, and then some.”
Production takes place at the HATSA factory in Honduras. The cigar is packaged in 20-count boxes designed to resemble Chinese takeout containers, with artwork referencing the Year of the Horse. Punch Egg Roll XL is scheduled to begin shipping in February 2026, with a suggested retail price of $7.99 per cigar.
