Crux Cigars has announced the addition of Chip Goldeen as Executive Vice President of Sales, bringing more than three decades of experience in the premium cigar industry to the company’s leadership team.
Goldeen is best known for his long tenure at Ashton Distributors, Inc., where he spent over 24 years as Vice President of Sales and worked closely with brands including Ashton, La Aroma de Cuba, and San Cristobal. More recently, he has been involved with several startup cigar and accessory companies, assisting with product development and market growth.
“I am very happy to have joined Crux Cigars as Executive Vice President of Sales,” Goldeen said. “I have 30+ years of senior management and executive experience in the cigar industry.”
Crux Cigars was founded by Jeff Haugen, who has operated the Minneapolis-based retailer Tobacco Grove for more than three decades. Goldeen noted his enthusiasm for joining an established brand and outlined several areas of focus for the sales team moving forward, including expanded retail support initiatives, merchandising and marketing programs, and the development of a new in-store events program.
“I am very excited to be back with an established cigar company,” Goldeen said.
According to Goldeen, the company also plans to expand its professional sales force to strengthen relationships at the retail level. His appointment marks a notable addition to Crux Cigars’ executive leadership as the company continues to develop its national presence.
