J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has begun shipping a new limited release called The Brick House is on Fire, an exclusive cigar made for Tobacconist Association of America (TAA) retailers. The cigar is a 6″ x 50 Toro featuring an unfinished foot designed to resemble a flame, a visual touch meant to highlight the ignition point of the blend.

A total of 1,000 boxesโ€”each containing 10 cigarsโ€”are being distributed to TAA members across the country. The release carries an MSRP of $12 per cigar.

โ€œWhen you light The Brick House is on Fire, the cigar ignites in flames,โ€ said fourth-generation owner Drew Newman. โ€œThe wrapper and binder are cut back to expose the filler leaves. We are excited to share this special cigar with TAA members.โ€

The blend consists of an Ecuador Havana wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos aged for five years, produced at J.C. Newmanโ€™s PENSA factory in Estelรญ, Nicaragua. The release follows a strong year for the Brick House brand, which earned the No. 10 spot on Cigar Aficionadoโ€™s Top 25 of 2024.

โ€œBrick House is one of my great-grandfatherโ€™s original cigar brands,โ€ Newman added. โ€œFirst rolled in 1937, it honors the home where he was born in 1875 โ€” the only brick house in the village.โ€
