Don Emmanuel Cigars, a boutique brand produced in collaboration with master blender Eladio Díaz, has announced the addition of Carlos Escalona, a longtime Davidoff of Geneva veteran, to its growing team.

The partnership underscores a shared vision between Escalona and brand founder Don Emmanuel, who worked with Díaz at Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera in the Dominican Republic to develop the company’s debut line, Anunnaki.

Díaz—best known for his three-decade tenure at Davidoff—helped craft Anunnaki using a blend of seven tobaccos, including a Dominican wrapper and Mexican San Andrés Negro binder, designed to showcase balance and depth.

“To see someone like Carlos Escalona believe in what we’re creating is deeply meaningful,” said Don Emmanuel. “Eladio and I built these cigars with soul and precision. Carlos brings the same dedication and understanding of what true luxury represents.”

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Don Emmanuel combines cultural heritage and formal cigar education, earning the title of the highest-scoring Master Cigar Sommelier in the world, as recognized by the International Association of Cigar Sommeliers (IACS). His brand seeks to unite craftsmanship, emotion, and energy.

“Cigars are born of the elements—earth, air, fire, and water. Each one carries history, emotion, and connection,” Emmanuel said. “The Anunnaki line is my tribute to that timeless balance.”

The Anunnaki collection includes three vitolas—Anu (6×52 Toro, $18), Ki (5×50 Robusto, $17), and Corona Fina (4×38, $34.99 per tin of 5)—and is distributed through select tobacconists across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe.

With Díaz’s blending artistry, Escalona’s market expertise, and Emmanuel’s sommelier-driven vision, Don Emmanuel Cigars continues to carve out its place as a new force in the world of premium cigars.
