Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) has announced The Five Temples – Seven Star Fist of Shaolin, a new limited-edition collection of handcrafted cigars produced at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí. The project brings together several familiar blends from the brand in a distinctive pyramid vitola, each showcasing a different wrapper style.

Retailers who attended this year’s PCA trade show in New Orleans were given the opportunity to pre-order the collection, which is set to begin shipping next week.

According to James Brown, creator of BLTC and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra, this project has been in the making for more than a decade.

“This collection is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I’ve been rolling various blends in this pyramid size for the last 12 years for myself. It’s finally time to do a production release,” said Brown. “The vibe I wanted was an old-school Kung Fu movie… The concept was to create a collection that not only introduces a new vitola for the Bees & Hornets, but also showcases different wrappers.”

The Five Temples set includes 24 cigars—four each of the following:

  • Killer Bee Sumatra 5×54 Pyramid
  • Killer Bee Connecticut 5×54 Pyramid
  • Killer Bee Connecticut Broadleaf 5×54 Pyramid
  • The Hornet Pennsylvania Broadleaf 5×54 Pyramid
  • The Hornet San Andrés 5×54 Pyramid
  • Shaolin Candela/Maduro 5.75×46 Bellicoso (2 cigars)
  • Shaolin Habano/Maduro 5.75×46 Bellicoso (2 cigars)

The cigars are rolled with a Honduran Habano binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Each 24-count “mix box” carries an MSRP of $13 per cigar.
