J.C. Newman Cigar Co. will mark the City of Tampa’s 138th birthday with the official launch of its newest release, Diamond Crown Tampa. The event will take place Tuesday, July 15 at the Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge located inside Corona Cigar Co. in Tampa, Florida.
The new cigar is the latest addition to J.C. Newman’s Diamond Crown line and is the first in the series to feature Florida Sun Grown (FSG) tobacco. Rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic, the cigar is designed to pay tribute to Tampa’s legacy as “Cigar City,” with packaging that reflects the city’s historical ties to the cigar industry.
In attendance will be multiple generations of the Newman family — Eric, Bobby, and Drew Newman — along with Jeff and Tanya Borysiewicz of Corona Cigar Co. and Florida Sun Grown tobacco.
