Casa Carrillo has announced a wholesale price increase of $0.25 per cigar, effective June 1, 2025, citing newly imposed tariffs that have raised the cost of importing cigars.

According to company founder Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, the decision follows weeks of absorbing the added costs without passing them on to retailers. โ€œTo help our partners maintain pricing stability, we have been fully absorbing the tariff costs since early April and will continue to do so through the end of May,โ€ Perez-Carrillo said. โ€œEven with the upcoming price adjustment, we remain committed to easing the impact on our customers by continuing to shoulder a meaningful portion of the tariff burden.โ€

Retailers can expect to receive an updated price list later this month. Casa Carrillo is encouraging accounts to place orders before June 1 to take advantage of the current pricing.

The price change reflects broader economic pressures on the premium cigar industry as manufacturers and retailers navigate the implications of new trade policies.
