La Aurora has announced the launch of La Aurora Fuerte Sol, marking the debut of its Family Creed Series. This new line reflects the values of the León family, who founded La Aurora cigars, emphasizing their focus on quality, craftsmanship, and tradition. The series draws its inspiration from the León Family Creed, a set of guiding principles upheld by each family member.

“The Family Creed Series is a new commitment to the U.S. market as we continue to innovate and listen to our consumers, as well as stay true to the Family Creed that has led our business for decades,” said Guillermo León, President of La Aurora. “To honor our family creed, we are launching a new cigar blend line that embodies the very essence of our legacy.” The company aims to blend its historical roots with the preferences of today’s cigar smokers through this collection.

Fuerte Sol combines tobaccos from Pennsylvania, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua, paired with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper and a Nicaraguan binder. The result is a medium-full strength cigar with notes of spicy cedar, cocoa, toasted nuts, oak, and citrus. It will be introduced at PCA 2025 in New Orleans, available in two box-pressed sizes: Robusto (5×50) and Toro (5.75×54), with a Gran Toro (6×58) planned for release in Q4 2025. The cigars will ship to retailers in early May, packaged in boxes of 20.

In addition to the Family Creed Series, La Aurora is updating its Treasure Box packaging. The refreshed design showcases six Preferidos blends in the perfecto format (5×54), each housed in a tubo and named after a gemstone: Sapphire (Connecticut), Platinum (Cameroon), Emerald (Sumatra-Ecuador), Diamond (Connecticut Broadleaf), Ruby (Maduro-Brazil), and Gold (Corojo-Ecuador). These cigars, rolled by torcedores with over 15 years of experience, highlight the doble figurado shape that helped establish La Aurora’s reputation.

“The Treasure Box is really the perfect gift for introducing La Aurora to those in the U.S. who may not be familiar with the brand,” said John Ferrigan, National Sales Director. “With a new box that features the blends and better shows off the beautiful tubos, it makes for a great grab-and-go gift whether it’s a family member that knows nothing about cigars, or an aficionado that understands the legacy behind the brand.” The updated Treasure Box will also begin shipping to retailers in early May.
