Deadwood Tobacco Co., in collaboration with Drew Estate, has introduced a new cigar named Dominicana, drawing inspiration from the tobacco fields of the Dominican Republic. This latest addition to the Deadwood portfolio is crafted at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Nicaragua and highlights a blend centered on Dominican tobaccos.

Dominicana features a Connecticut Shade wrapper, a Mexican San Andrรฉs binder, and a filler blend that emphasizes Dominican tobacco. The result is a cigar with a mellow-to-medium body, offering tasting notes of sweet figs, earth, salt, and a buttery finish with hints of hay. The cigar is available in four sizes: Pequeรฑa (4 x 38), Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 50), and Gordo (6 x 60), with prices ranging from $6.50 to $13.50 per cigar.

Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate, commented on the release, saying, โ€œDominican Republic is in focus with the launch of Deadwood Dominicana. The premium sweet cap and the Connecticut wrapper are merely supporting actors in this high stakes, taste-theatre. The star is the Dominican Republic and we wish to thank our friend Siegfried Maruschke and Jose Mendez and Co. for their partnership in the DR. It is written โ€ฆโ€

The cigar will be officially unveiled at the PCA show in New Orleans on April 11, marking the start of sales. Dominicana joins the Deadwood lineup as a blend that reflects the companyโ€™s ongoing exploration of tobacco origins and blending techniques.
