CAO has introduced FASA Sombra, the third installment in its FASA trilogy, adding a shade-grown option to the series. This release follows FASA Sol, a sun-grown cigar, and FASA Noche, a maduro offering, creating a trio designed to suit different preferences throughout the day.
Cory Beardsley, brand manager for CAO, said, โFASA Sombra was created to bring the FASA lineup full circle. With Sol, we delivered a bold sun-grown expression. With Noche, a rich maduro profile. And now with Sombra, weโve crafted a refined, shade-grown smoke thatโs smooth yet layered. The FASA trilogy now offers the ideal smoking experience; morning, noon or night.โ
The cigar features an Ecuadorian shade-grown wrapper paired with a Cameroon binder and a filler mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. This blend aims to provide balance and complexity while keeping the smoke approachable, particularly for those newer to cigars.
Produced at General Cigar Dominicana, FASA Sombra comes in two sizes: Toro (6 x 50) and Gigante (6 x 60), both packaged in boxes of 24. Pricing is set between $6.99 and $7.99 per cigar, with shipping to retailers scheduled to begin on April 7, 2025.
